NEW YORK CITY BUSINESS LEADER KAREN P. DRUZIAKO TO ATTEND NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC (Sept. 5, 2006) – Karen P. Druziako, President, Principal Asset of New York City will join women business owners from across the country next week in Washington, D.C. The nation’s largest bi-partisan women’s business group, Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), is hosting the WIPP Leadership and Legacy Conference: 5th Anniversary Summit, Sept. 11-13, to educate women business leaders on upcoming elections and legislative issues impacting growth of their companies.

“The WIPP Leadership Conference is an excellent opportunity for women in business to interact with our government leaders. Each year, we are dedicated to ensuring women walk away from the conference with new public policy tools and increased knowledge to help grow their businesses and to be informed for election day,” said Kasoff.

Conference participants will meet with their home state Members of Congress to bring the concerns of 15.6 million women business owners to their attention. Attendees will discuss public policy and legislative issues facing women entrepreneurs, focusing primarily on procurement, healthcare insurance and access to capital. Also, they will receive practical tips to launch a successful political career at any level and advice from women political leaders.

Keynote speakers at the WIPP conference are Steven Preston, the newly confirmed Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and former White House Press Secretary Mike McCurry. Also addressing the national summit are Senators Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Blanche Lincoln (D-AR), and Senior Editor and Political Analyst Amy Walter with The Cook Political Report

“As November elections draw near, it is increasingly important that women business owners are informed, active and engaged in the political process,” said Kasoff.
